<font color="#0000FF"><b>What's it like to visit your store? </b></font>   There's really no way to describe what it's like to shop at our stores.  We're a crowded retail warehouse where furniture goods are constantly moving in out all day long. Our aisles often get crowded with stuff, but that's also part of the fun of shopping here.  Basically, our store is like a cluttered world waiting to be discovered, so come prepared for fun and adventure. <br>

<font color="#0000FF"><b>Do you buy used furniture?</b></font>   Yes, Fred's Unique Furniture is one of the largest buyers of good used furniture from homes, offices, retail businesses and hotels. Simply make a call to <B>(586) 776-7100 </B>and our representative will make an appointment for our buyer to visit you. Our experienced buyer will arrive at your location and make a fair offer for your items. Often, our trucks may be in the area and we can remove the items you agree to sell the same day or very shortly thereafter. You are paid the agreed upon price at the time of pickup.<br>

<font color="#0000FF"><b>What type of payments do you accept?</b></font>  We accept cash and all major credit and debit cards.<br>

<font color="#0000FF"><b>How up-to-date is your website?</b></font> Our website is updated daily.  Many new pictures are added daily and we work hard to make sure that website items are marked "Sold" or are removed from the site within 24 hours after sale.  Still, we are far from perfect.  If your heart is set on a particular website item, we encourage you to give our store a call to double-check that it's still available.  Call our Webmaster directly at (586) 447-6650. Please have the Keyword Code (ie. C1XX-XXX) appearing beneath the Item Description available when you call.   <br>

<font color="#0000FF"><b>How can I tell In which store a particular website item Is located?</b></font> All website items are located at the Warren Store unless otherwise noted in <b>bold</b> lettering at the beginning of the Item Description.  <br>

<font color="#0000FF"><b>Can I buy website items online?</b></font> Not directly, but we do accept credit card purchases over the phone. We want to make sure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. Experience has shown that the process works best if we can briefly discuss in greater detail the quality and condition of the item you are considering for purchase to make sure it meets your expectations. <br>

<font color="#0000FF"><b>Do you offer local delivery?</b></font>  Yes, we have a whole fleet of trucks and crews that can provide careful delivery of your furniture mainly within the Metropolitan Detroit Tri-county Area. Our delivery prices are most reasonable.  We often can arrange delivery to outlying areas on a case-by-case basis.  Call the store for details.<BR>

<font color="#0000FF"><b>Do you package and mail smaller items?</b></font>  Yes,  we package and mail small items ourselves.  Slightly larger items are typically dropped off at a local UPS Store where they are professionally packaged.  This has proven the best way to insure your item will arrive in the condition it left our store.   The customer is typically billed only for the actual cost of UPS packaging and shipping, without any additional handling charge by us.<br>
<font color="#0000FF"><b>Do you ship larger furniture items out-of-state?  </b></font>Many of our longer distance or out-of-state customers find that <a href="http://www.uship.com/furniture/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> <font color="#0000FF">uShip</font></a></font>  is the most efficient and economical way to arrange long distance transportation of larger items. uShip is similar to Priceline in  that you post a request for carriers traveling to Michigan near our stores and returning to your area. Carriers accept your price or place competing bids electronically, saving you time and getting you the best possible rates.You pay the carrier for the shipping and pay us for the furniture. 

Alternately, you may hire a traditional packing and shipping company like <a href="http://www.pakmail.com/shipping/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><font color="#0000FF">PakMail</font></a></font>. They will carefully package and ship your items thru conventional (although more costly) means. PakMail's local number is 877-825-3377.  Ask for Peter Fein to get a quote.

<font color="#0000FF"><b>Are you ever open on Sundays?</b></font>  At some point during the month of January, Fred will begin opening the Warren Store on Sundays from 12 to 5 PM until Easter. If you simply click the "Home" Button on the Menu Bar, the first picture on the Home Page Splash Screen will indicate if we are presently open on Sundays.  You can also call (586) 776-7100 to confirm this as well.  Our Livernois and Gladwin stores do not open on Sundays at any time.<br>

<font color="#0000FF"><b>What Does The "Style" Button Appearing on a Gallery Menu Bar Menu Bar Do?  </b></font>The Style Button allows you to change the way website Gallery items are displayed.  Options include <i>SmugMug (default), Thumbnails, Slideshow & Journal.  </i> Normally, there should be no reason to change the default setting, but certain users have requested this capability.  Please remember that when you change this setting that ALL Galleries will continue to be displayed that way until you change it to either another option or back into the <i>SmugMug</i> default.  Also, you will not be able to see the Keyword Code for any website item unless you are in <i>SmugMug</i> mode.

Occasionally, the designation "NBX" appears on the same line as the Keyword Code (i.e. C1XX-XXX) for a particular website item. What does this signify?  "NBX" is a designation for website items that are located in our large "New Building" showroom immediately next door to Fred's original building at our Warren Store location.

Best of all, there is no cost for making a bid request.  Once you've identified the lowest rate with a good carrier, you pay the carrier for the shipping and pay us for the furniture.  Your item is then picked up from our store and delivered directly to your door.  All of the feedback we have received from customers utilizing this service has been very positive.
