The Winner - Limited Edition Hand-Signed Lithograph 12/25 by John K Esler. A prominent and influential Canadian printmaker, draftsman, painter, educator and leader in the arts community, John Kenneth Esler was born in Pilot Mount, Manitoba and died in Calgary, Alberta in 2001. Esler's mediums included etching, aquatint, collograph, intaglio, lithograph, found objects, acrylic paint, oil paint and mixed mediums. His primary subjects were abstraction (line, shape, color and texture), landscapes and social commentary. His styles could be described as Modernism, Fauvism, Abstraction and Abstract Expressionism. His prints have been exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and at the Museum of Modern Art, New York City. His works are in the permanent collections of many museums including the Victoria & Albert, London, England and the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa. 21 1/4 x 41 $395
