Un-Opened Box - 40th Anniversary Barbie Collector Edition. Rare Blonde version of Barbie doll. This collector edition Barbie doll was released in 1999 by Mattel to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Barbie. She is wearing a stunning black and silvery gown inspired by the original 1959 bathing suit she wore in the very beginning. Her dangly earrings offsets her soft french twist and charming face. Another dynamic touch to celebrate her 40th anniversary is a bouquet of 40 pink roses, which she gracefully holds in her arms, that are covered with sheer black opera length gloves. To commemorate this special event, she comes with an authentic miniature of herself and reproduction of the package she came in back in 1959.
