01/08/14 - Fred's Furniture's Webmaster Craig and Co-Webmaster Diane just added a another new puppy to the family. She's a 2 month old miniature pedigree French Poodle that unfortunately doesn't have a name yet. We're toying with the names Teagan, Bijou and Summer, among others. The good news is that Athena (part Papillion and Bischon) seems to be comfortable and relatively accepting around her new friend. She probably should be as Athena already is at her adult weight of 10 pounds and her new friend will eventually get slightly larger than Athena when she's full grown. It's only been one day, so let's give it some time and see. Update 1/22/14: The new puppy's name is Heidi. Basically, the dog named herself. We were trying out different names that weren't going to be our first choice and when we said "Heidi," she instantly responded to it.
12/14/13 - Fred's stores have grown and expanded with the times, but one thing that most customers comment upon is the amazing eclectic mix of items from antique to modern that you're likely to see throughout our buildings. There really is no other business with as many square feet of floor space that offers such a diverse inventory of items. You could literally furnish you entire home here with a little imagination and a sense of adventure. Lately, we are now seeing a lot of people visiting our stores referred by their friends or seeing us online that are just simply curious to see what a store like this is all about. The year 2014 will mark the beginning of an even greater adventure as Fred's Warren Store begins it's new 27,000 sq. ft. showroom construction right next door to our main building. The most difficult part of this endeavor is not so much the construction of another building, but our goal of continuing to provide the kind of personal and friendly service that we've become known for over the years. Believe us when we say that maintaining exceptional customer service is the overriding goal of everything we do.
12/13/13 - Fred's playful and loving dogs Cooper and Jolie have had a lot to deal with this year with all the construction and disruption that's been going on. The arrival of winter adds further complications, as outdoor play time has also been limited. Still, the winter chill is less of a problem when the dogs have a convenient bed located in front of a warm and toasty fireplace. It's a small consolation, but it will have to do until the arrival of Spring. By the way, like everything else in our store, the dog bed shown is available for sale. It's $40. Don't worry... the dogs will understand.... :)
