06/28/12 - Fred's Unique Furniture has been around for over 30 years, but we always appreciate it whenever anyone makes a favorable comment or recommends our business to their friends. That's why we're especially pleased that the editors of Real Detroit Weekly recently included us among their list of 2011 Best of Detroit Stores. We thank Real Detroit Weekly for this Award. 06/27/12 - When we originally designed our website's Home Page, we included a fun slideshow that required Adobe Flash be installed. Unfortunately, the Apple iPad and iPhone don't support Flash, so owners of these products couldn't see this wonderful feature. That's why we're pleased to announce that our Home Page has been completely redesigned to no longer require Adobe Flash. As a result, it's now 100% compatible with every tablet device or cell phone, including Apple and Android. Additionally, our new Home Page loads faster and the screen transitions are snappier too. Combined with our new Search feature (discussed in our previous News posting), we hope you'll find that our website has become even more friendly and convenient to use. 06/23/12 - You asked for it and now it's here. Check out our Home Page or "Furniture" Gallery Page and you'll notice the new Search Box on the far right of the screen along our Menu Bar. Now, get ready for some fun and convenience. Try typing in the word "Provincial" as an example. You'll be presented with everything on our site related to Provincial couches, lamps, end tables, etc. Your Searches will look thru ALL our picture galleries and present a special display prepared just for you. Our new Search will also let you look up items by our in-house Keyword Codes (C1XX-XXX) as well. You can look up everything on the site that's Oak or even $95, for example. Our Search also supports "compounding." That's a technical term, but it simply means you can type something like "Provincial + White" and you'll see every French Provincial item on our site that is Antique White. Remember, for the moment, the new Search Box is only available on our Home Page or "Furniture" Gallery Page. Be sure to give it a try and let us know what you think.
