12/13/13 - Fred's playful and loving dogs Cooper and Jolie have had a lot to deal with this year with all the construction and disruption that's been going on. The arrival of winter adds further complications, as outdoor play time has also been limited. Still, the winter chill is less of a problem when the dogs have a convenient bed located in front of a warm and toasty fireplace. It's a small consolation, but it will have to do until the arrival of Spring. By the way, like everything else in our store, the dog bed shown is available for sale. It's $40. Don't worry... the dogs will understand.... :)
07/15/13 - We are so grateful to live in this country and work in a business that allows us to meet and work with people from every walk of life and economic circumstance. We're proud that we can offer furniture and antiques at affordable prices and maybe bring a smile to people's faces in the process. Every day, we work hard and it's always a bit of a challenge. Some customers even say we make it look easy. Still, some days are better than others; especially when the morning mail brings a whole bunch of property tax bills to pay. The tax bills shown in the above photo came in the morning mail from July 12th. But, as they say on the street .... "We're not complaining, just explaining." Our business is all about storage and we have various properties in Warren other than our main retail buildings where we store hotel and office liquidation furniture or provide housing for employees and their families. Who would believe that 35 years ago, Fred's Unique Furniture was a single 100 sq. ft. building struggling to survive. Times sure do change...
06/21/13 - Your Webmaster Craig and Co-Webmaster Diane acquired this adorable puppy named Athena in January 2013. Needless to say, the household has been dramatically transformed with the addition of this new family member. Athena is a Papillon and Bichon mix. At this point, she weighs nearly 9 pounds and may only get a little bit bigger before she's full grown. This dog is full of love and has been a joy to have. Athena loves to play fetch and has what seems to be inexhaustible energy. She also appears to have a natural talent for posing in front of the camera too. It's amazing how a dog can change your life.
